Por Patricia Landim

The Pearson family called Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania home. It was here that Jack and Rebecca first met, where their Big Three—Kevin, Kate, and Randall—were born. Shall we explore the filming locations and tourist spots?

Pittsburgh, nestled in Pennsylvania, boasts a vibrant, modern character steeped in a rich and varied history. Renowned for its thriving arts and music scene, it's no wonder we find Rebecca crooning in local bars. Pittsburgh has a unique tradition where aspiring musicians perform live, hoping to catch the attention of music producers scouting for talent. This is precisely why our leading lady left a potential love interest behind to rush to a bar for an impromptu performance, a fateful decision that led her to Jack.

Another detail is that the city thrives on American football, home to the Pittsburgh Steelers. One of the iconic items fans bring to games is a yellow towel known as the "Terrible Towel." Spectators often wave it high to cheer on the players. This item is seen with Jack in the scene of his birthday when Rebecca is pregnant.
